The section is responsible for developing new engines, maintain an engine and fuel strategy for Volvo cars and to deliver exhaust aftertreatment systems for all VCC engines.
The section is divided into the following areas:
Exhaust aftertreatment.
Diesel engine development.
Gasoline engine development.
Strategy & Advanced engineering.
We are in a very expansive period right now with new and exiting challenges ahead. The expansion plans of VCC involve several new powertrains including several all new engines. In the area Strategy & Advanced Engineering we are responsible for delivering the engine and fuel strategy for VCC Engine program. We are also responsible for maintaining and controlling engine related research at our partner Universities.
One of our key deliveries is to develop a fuel strategy. In order to create this strategy we carry out fuel related advanced engineering. We are now looking for a person who can is interested in fuels and engines to help us creating a future strategy. In this position you will work closely together with our fuels specialist to carry out advanced engineering and other fuel related tasks.
Assignment:
Coordinate the development teams for Advanced Engineering projects.
Plan and carry out tests with advanced fuels.
Analyse and report findings for fuel related AE.
Participate in maintaining fuel database.
Participate in fuel related quality tasks.
Present findings and results from AE activities within VCC.
Qualifications:
MSc in engineering.
Good knowledge of combustion and fuels.
At least 3yrs experience in fuels related engineering or engine development.
Fluent in English both written and spoken.
Personal profile:
Ability to work in teams.
Communicative and ability to delegate.
Structured and analytical in the approach to solving development tasks.
Self motivated, not needing much guidance.
