The Fuel Cell Testing & Simulation group within Powertrain Strategic Development is looking for a Fuel Cell Vehicle Data Scientist with focus on vehicle data analysis for Fuel Cell Electric Vehicles (FCEV).
The Fuel Cell Testing & Simulation group consists of a team of dedicated experts that are responsible for ensuring capabilities and operation of virtual and physical testing of Fuel Cell systems and related components. We have high expertise in Fuel Cell components and subsystems and engage in research of forefront Fuel Cell technologies.
THIS IS THE ROLE
As a Fuel Cell Vehicle Data Scientist, you will utilize knowledge from Fuel Cell technology to perform vehicle data analysis for FCEVs, define and implement relevant data analysis and visualization methods, and take responsibility for the fidelity of the results. You will also summarize, simplify, and communicate results from complex data analysis as a base for decision making.
Another part of the role is to take an active role and collaborate with colleagues across different Volvo organization to contribute to method and tools development with the ambition to develop the best-in-class data analysis platform.

Qualifications:
M.Sc. or Ph.D. in engineering with a major in Mathematical Modelling & Statistics
Working experience from data mining and data preparation function development preferably within automotive vehicle domain
Deep skills in programming (e.g., C/C++, Python, Matlab and SQL)
Knowledge in Vehicle and Powertrain technology and applications
Knowledge about Fuel Cell technology, Fuel Cell and Hybrid Electric powertrains is beneficial
Action oriented, taking initiatives & driving results
Proactively learning about new technologies
Fluent in English, written and spoken
