The Software Solutions group within Powertrain Strategic Development is looking for a Fuel Cell Propulsion Engineer with focus on developing embedded software technologies for new propulsion solutions, such as Fuel Cell Electric Propulsion (FCEP).
The Software Solutions group consists of a team of dedicated experts that are responsible for developing, implementing, and testing Embedded Software Solutions to ensure the Fuel Cell propulsion system functionality and performance. This is done using both virtual simulation tools and physical vehicle testing. We have high expertise in System Modelling and Simulations, Control Development, Software Implementation and Data Analytics.
THIS IS THE ROLE
As a FCEP Software Engineer you will evaluate embedded software requirements, develop and implement application software functionality in the platform, and fault trace the functionality in the vehicle. You will also ensure the quality and readiness of the software before release.
Another part of the role is to work closely with simulation engineers and develop methods for Software-In-the-Loop (SIL) testing and verification.
THIS IS YOU
To be successful in this role and enjoy your work we believe that you have a broad technical background in a propulsion domain area with expert knowledge in automotive embedded software. You have also a broad knowledge about software architecture and interfaces for complex use cases.
You are exploratory and innovative with the ability to drive things to completion, which means that being proactive and willing to take ownership is something you enjoy. Since we are a global organization, it is important that you are fluent in spoken and written English, like teamwork and interaction with people and that you can communicate effectively.
Qualifications:
Ms.c in Engineering with focus on software development & implementation
Broad knowledge of automotive embedded software and networks (CAN, LIN, etc)
Good knowledge about programing languages (e.g., Python, C/C++, Matlab/Simulink)
Team player with the mindset to support others and ask for help when needed
Action oriented and eager to actively learn new technology
