The PEM Fuel Cell Product Developer will report to the company's CTO and will play a key role in the design and development of Celcibus' PEM Fuel Cell components. This will include design, development, test, and validation of the MEA components as well as design of the complete CCMs and MEAs for different applications. The candidate should be creative, self-motivated, and able to handle multiple project assignments within a fast-paced engineering organization.
Core Duties and Responsibilities
Product development of catalyst, CCM and MEA in pilot scale
Develop and lead projects for new applications, cost reduction, and performance & durability improvements
Conduct engineering studies and investigations; prepare and present results to key stakeholders
Transfer new processes to production scale process
Perform all other duties as assigned
Education and Experience
PhD in materials chemistry, including synthesis of materials, structural characterization and experience of electrochemical evaluation of fuel cells
Excellent English language skills, strong Spanish or Korean language skills encouraged.
Ability to travel for business needs.
Computer and software systems skills as applicable to position including but not limited to: Word, PowerPoint, Excel, and Outlook
Exceptional data analysis and presentation skills
Computer modeling skills.
Dynamic interpersonal skills and the ability to effectively communicate with diverse audiences and stakeholders at all levels, demonstrating excellent team building skills.
Ability to manage complex projects and multi-task effectively
Demonstrated analytical abilities with strong attention to detail
Superior communication skills
Excellent follow-through
Must be driven and self-motivated
Must possess the highest ethical standards and a commitment to work quality
Ability to work in a changing lab environment and perform duties relating to relocation of workplaces, such as lifting, moving objects, prepare machinery, instruments and supply for relocation.
As Celcibus is a start-up, applicant must also be prepared to perform mundane office tasks when required, as well as duties not routinely encountered in a PhD positions.
