Function Realisation Responsible - Vehicle Propulsive Controls & Calibration

The section Vehicle Propulsive Controls & Calibration, within the department Complete Powertrain Engineering, works very close to end customers and is responsible for development of control algorithms and calibration of the in-house developed software "Propulsive Vehicle Control" (PVC). The PVC controls the engine, transmission and hybrid system regarding propulsive attributes and is allocated in Engine Control Module (ECM). The section also have the Function Realisation (FR) responsibility for the customer functions, Stop Start, Propulsion Modes, Vehicle Speed Control, Vehicle Speed Limitation, Gear Shift Indication and Eco Coach.

We are now looking for an additional Function Realisation Responsible (FRR) which is a software system design engineer responsible for the realisation of one or several customer functions. As FRR you will be part of a dynamic team working in the concept development phase, as well as the industrialisation phase, with the responsibility to make sure the function is designed, implemented and verified on time. You will interact with colleagues not only within the group but also within the whole department and other units.

Main responsibilities

• Be the interface between the FO (Function Owner) and the electrical system
• Lead and coordinate the work with the FR (Function Realisation)
• Write and allocate requirements among the participating subsystems
• Make sure that the safety goals are handled and that a FSC (Functional Safety Concept) is created
• Support the FO in the planning and execution of the complete vehicle testing of the function
• Supply status for the realisation of the function continuously in all phases of the projects

Required qualifications

• University degree in engineering (Bachelor, Master or PhD)
• Good knowledge of system design and requirement handling in general
• Experience from software or function development
• Fluent in English (spoken and written)
• Driver license (level B)
• Experience of Elektra is meritorious
• Experience of LEQM is meritorious
