Job Summary:
We are looking for a programmer with a keen eye for design. Front end Developers are responsible for ensuring the alignment of web design and user experience requirements, optimizing web pages for maximum efficiency and maintaining brand consistency across all web pages, among other duties.
The Front End Developer will be required to work alongside our Back end Developers, and with our Digital Marketing Manager, Engineers and our CEO.
General Responsibilities:
Ensuring user experience determines design choices.
Developing features to enhance the user experience.
Striking a balance between functional and aesthetic design.
Ensuring web design is optimized for smartphones.
Building reusable code for future use.
Optimizing web pages for maximum speed and scalability.
Maintaining brand consistency throughout design.
Essential Requirements:
Over 2 years proven experience in a previous Front End Developer role.
Minimum Bachelor's Degree in Computer Science or another related field.
Our common company language is English. A good working knowledge is required.
Someone who fits our core values. A self-starter able to work independently and with colleagues.
Understanding of key design principles.
Understanding of server-side CSS.
Proven experience in ReactJS, Typescript, Frontend (HTML, Javascript, CSS)
Proven experience of REST API and UI Testing.
Desired Skills & Competencies:
Experience with PHP, SQL and Python
Experience with graphic design applications such as Adobe Illustrator.
Excellent verbal communication skills.
Excellent problem solving skills.
Excellent interpersonal skills.
