The challenge will be for you to, along with our team of architects, be responsible for the development of the communication channel that will be the link between Klarna and the environment outside the company itself.
You will be working closely together with the rest of the development department in a fast pace-environment characterized by ambition and entrepreneurship.
Responsibilities:
• Take ownership of the front-end engineering for payments using Object-Oriented JavaScript, various JavaScript libraries, jQuery, HTML, and CSS.
• Translate designs and style guides into functional user interfaces, ensuring cross browser compatibility and performance.
• Building rich client interfaces driven by AJAX or other web service APIs.
• Contribute to continual improvement by suggesting improvements to user interface, software architecture, or new technologies.
• Prototype concepts and ideas to facilitate product development.
The specification we have regarding the technical demands are as follows:
• Mastery of JavaScript, CSS, HTML, XHTML.
• Mastery of the jQuery framework, authoring of plugins, and experience with best of breed 3rd party plugins.
• Current on best practices for cross-browser compatibility, SEO, and accessibility.
• Ability to translate designs and style guides into functional user interfaces, ensuring cross browser compatibility and performance.
• Experience with social APIs/plugins such as Facebook, Google, or Twitter.
• High profile front-end software engineering experience, preferably with high traffic, exceptional web sites.
• Significant experience in developing AJAX-enabled web applications.
• Bachelors in Computer Science or equivalent work experience preferred.
• Addressing tangible, customer-facing issues on a tight schedule.
It is an advantage if you have the following experience:
• Knowledge of Responsive Web Design techniques.
• Involvement in client side open source projects.
• Knowledge of Responsive Web Design techniques.
• Hands-on work in Adobe Photoshop, omnigraffle, lucid charts.
