ISH was established in 1995 to answer a growing demand for a truly international education at the Primary and Secondary levels. Today, we have approximately 850 students between 3 and 19 years of age attending our Pre-school, Primary School, Middle School and Diploma Programme with International Baccalaureate. Our teachers come from more than 30 different countries all over the world, and the same goes for our students.
Our Middle School is located on the Nicolai Campus at Munkavägen 9. Our Diploma Program is located in a separate part of the building at Nicolai School at Studievägen 2. Our Pre and Primary schools are located in our Building at Östra Vallgatan 9.
These programmes offer an alternative for international families who are residing in the Helsingborg region on a temporary basis, or for those moving overseas. The aim of our school is to develop internationally minded people who, recognizing their common humanity and shared guardianship of the planet, help to create a better and more peaceful world. We have active professional learning communities whose aim is to work collaboratively through a teacher evaluation model so as to to purposefully impact student progress.

One of our Language acquisition teachers for French and Spanish will soon be going on maternity leave. As a result, we are currently seeking an ambitious French/Spanish teacher to join our MYP team from November 2020. Would you like to join us?
An IB MYP Language teacher will possess a broad knowledge of the target languages and will also inspeire curiosity and interest in the different cultures. They will be able to support students in developing thinking and communicating. An IB MYP teacher must also be organized in supporting a group of students who will be their mentees for the year.
This position is initally advertised at 100%, the assignment includes teaching through MYP1-5.
Qualifications
You possess a degree within Language acquisition (French/Spanish) and have experience working within the school system.
It's a requirement for the candiate to be fluent in English, both in speaking and writing. The successful candidate will be a strong team player and have the ability to work collaboratively with co-workers, as well as students and parents. You communicate proactivley; support and care for others. It will be of great advantage to have experience of the IB system and also to have previously worked within the international school system, but every application will be looked at. As a person, you are a positive, open-minded and flexible team player. You must demonstrate enthusiasm, warmth and strong interpersonal skills with children, parents and colleagues and be commited to diversity and multicultural educational practices.
