We are looking for one new member to join our Customer Service team that is responsible for delivering best in class Ocean freight services to our customers. Our aim is to build a long-term cooperation and relationship with our customers, where we as a professional partner in transportation, logistics and freight forwarding solutions perform our delivery towards the customer with the highest quality.

The position is located in Arendal (Gothenburg, Sweden).
Key Responsibilities:
Your role will be twofold: You will daily be handling a variation of tasks within freight forwarding and transportation as a Client Coordinator, as well as ensuring that the entire team stays consistent regarding quality and operational performance in your role as Customer Service Operational Supervisor. The work includes regular contact with our customers, suppliers, and other stakeholders which is why a high level of service, coordination skills and stakeholder managements is needed. You and your colleagues will manage, coordinate and monitor transport flows and integrated solutions with our customers. You will be the right hand of the team manager and responsible for continuous improvements and leading by example both operationally and according to our Damco values. You will be working closely with the team manager and the team financial supervisor to ensure that we monitor and proactively ensure best performance from all angels and that we are in line with respective KPI:s. It is imperative that you are proactive in the way that you work, excel at problem solving and have a high communicative skill

Your responsibilities and work tasks will amongst other be to:
• Handle clients and shipments from A to Z (from booking to financial settlements)
• Ensure correct treatment for each shipment (handle B/L's, customs documentation,
stakeholder contacts, financial settlements)
• Do customer visits with sales representative to sell our freight forwarding solutions.
• Administrative tasks such as invoicing, quotation, system updates etc.
• Help team manager ensure that tasks are being done correctly and in the
agreed, most efficient way throughout the team
• Be responsible for any additional operational training needed for the team
• Assist team members and sales in challenging client interactions related to operational tasks or issues
• Stay up to date with current market development and help build the Damco network
• Act as stand in for team manager when needed

As a candidate for the role as Customer Service Supervisor you need to be very well oriented and knowledgeable in import/export procedures, vendor management and logistics/ transportation set up. Extensive field experience from ocean logistics is a must.

• Master English and Swedish on business level
