As a Field Quality Engineer you are a key stakeholder, the customers voice within the R&D organisation. You will have a central role in monitoring and identifying deviations regarding the vehicle electronics and control systems. In order to succeed you must manage a variety of areas e.g. how technical solutions, different markets, commercial and environmental factors influence the behaviour of the product. The complexity of our product is ever growing which means that you need to work close to the design departments.
Your Task
You will track and analyze deviations in your defined area, draw conclusions to initiate appropriate actions. To do this you will investigate customer vehicles on site, analyse data in various statistic tools, check operational data sources and analyze failure reports in our global Follow up Report Administrations System (FRAS) etc.
When the problems have been solved you are responsible for distributing the solutions in our Scania network.

You have an education as Ms/Bs.Sc ME, EE, CS or similar.
Knowledge in the development of control systems and embedded software is required. Overall knowledge in the product, e.g. vehicle functionality, usage, applications etc. is wanted. Knowledge in Scania development tools such as XCOM, CDEV, Vision etc. is an advantage.
Socially you like to meet new people and grow your network both inside R&D and worldwide. You must be able to plan and organize your own work and also be able to travel approximately 20 days/year. Tight connections with the market require you to be fluent in Swedish and English, both in speech and writing. Additional language skills is considered an advantage.
