About Samfora
Samfora is building the data layer for nonprofit organizations. The company runs two products today: samfora.org, a free donation platform used by 70+ Swedish NGOs that has moved 7M+ SEK in seven months, and samfora.io, a CRM and data platform for fundraisers that is live with six customers and stores 50M SEK in past donations.
Sweden's nonprofit sector raised ~10 billion SEK in private donations last year and lost a quarter of every fundraiser's week to admin work. Every feature shipped at Samfora is measured two ways: hours reclaimed by a fundraiser, or more donations that reach their cause instead of getting lost in translation.
Samfora has a strong backing, including Max Heger (GodEl/GodFond), Mikael Ahlström (Procuritas), Sam Jahanfar (Rule), Per Håkan Börjesson (Spiltan Invest), The Case for Her (Cristina Ljungberg and Wendy Anderson), and operators from Voyado and Salesforce.
Build the agentic data layer for nonprofit organizations
Most of the world's charities still run 5-6 different fundraising tools alongside spreadsheets and CRMs from the 90s. Samfora is changing that. From day one, your code processes real donations for real causes.
The next founding engineer is hired to help take the company from where it is today to 1B SEK in donations processed.
What you'll own
You take ownership of the NGO fundraiser's problem domain, end to end.
Donor Data Platform: the UX/UI fundraisers live in every day. Private donors, foundations, corporate engagement. Campaigns, segmentation, automations.
Payment and reconciliation engine: banks, Stripe, Swish, and CSV imports, so 100% of every donation reaches the cause and zero hours go to chasing missing transfers.
Data pipelines that can't fail: auditable systems for donation processing where mistakes cannot happen.
Enrichment layer: orchestration of data sources (Apollo, Hunter, Clearbit) for ground truth, so fundraisers spend 100% of their time building relationships.
Backbone: events, triggers, churn prediction, donor lifetime value, so small NGOs get the same toolbox as the giants.
Integrations at scale: webhooks, OAuth, Open Banking, Gmail/Outlook, MCP.
The team (5-10 internal stakeholders)
Philip (CEO and co-founder): product, design, sales, CS.
Tetiana: senior full-stack, 8 years. Queen of architecture, CI/CD, and reliability.
Richard: full-stack and AI/ML, 4 years. Beat him on PRs per month or token spend and he'll buy you a Mac mini with a pre-configured Claude.
Karl (co-founder): fractional CTO. Code reviews, architecture, deep technical calls.
Advisors, consultants, and agents across UX, frontend, marketing, product, and Customer Success.
Who you are
You have 1-4 years of full-stack experience and the capacity to grow into a senior engineer in 18 months instead of 5 years.
You're agentic by default. You've built agentic workflows and tooling, and you're excited to demo and discuss them.
You ship multiple meaningful things per week. You also know the balance: when donations are on the line, you don't make mistakes.
You're a vibe-coder who still reads every line. You move fast in Claude Code, Codex, Conductor, but you also understand what's happening in the scripting layer, and the layer below that.
You're paranoid about data quality. You have the instinct for audit trails, flags, versioning, and rollbacks.
Bonus points
Payments, fintech, or financial data.
Open-source contributions, hackathon wins, side projects.
CRM, marketing automation.
Swedish, English, or Ukrainian.
AWS.
Event handling.

Mission first: every shipped feature is measured in fundraiser hours reclaimed or increase in funds raised.
Own the problem end to end: everyone owns partner problems, everyone is accountable for outcomes.
AI-native, no approvals: infinite tokens. Codex, Claude Code, Cursor, Warp, all four if you want. State your toolbox and we'll provide the tokens.
Stack: Next, Postgres, Tailwind, AWS, GH Actions.
What you get
Equity: 0.5-3% founder-level options, set by experience and trajectory.
