The financial controller with special responsibility for coordination of the audit processes belongs to the Finance team that is responsible for financial accounting, budget and financial follow up and internal audits. The Finance and Internal Control team is part of the Administrative unit in Stockholm.
Areas of responsibility
• Coordination of external audit processes globally (both program audits and the annual audit)
• Ensure the quality of the organization 's financial reporting and tracking
• Plan, coordinate and compile budget, forecasts, annual closing and annual report
• Develop and update tools and manuals for financial follow-up and budget
• Financial quality assurance of applications and reporting
• Handling and support in deviations in project and programs
• Contribute to Forum Syd 's Internal Control Plan and follow-up on relevant parts of the plan
• Advise, train and support in financial and administrative processes
• Facilitate and contribute to the development of the organization 's financial management and financial systems
• Advise and support in the field of financial control
• Lead and/or participate in projects in the field of financial control
• Participate in the annual reporting system to major donors
• Participate in meetings, seminars or conferences when relevant to further develop the knowledge in the field of financial control
• Other tasks related to the work in the Finance and IT department and delegated by line manager
Qualifications required
• Experience in auditing and coordination of audit processes
• Extensive experience in budgeting, accounting, follow-up and financial reporting.
• Minimum 2 years of experience as financial controller or auditor
• Good knowledge in Excel
• Very good ability to express oneself orally and in writing in Swedish and English
• Relevant academic degree or equivalent qualifications obtained in another way
Credential
• Experience working as an auditor
• Experience from working in a development country

Varaktighet, arbetstid
This position is a full time permanent position with six months probationary period, starting as soon as possible. The position is located at Forum Syd's office at Södermalm, Stockholm. Duty travels are part of the positions.
