hela Sverige We are looking for a research assistant (forskningsassistent) for fixed-term position at the Centre for Applied Autonomous Sensor Systems (AASS) at Örebro University.
Background
The research assistant will be affiliated with the Centre for Applied Autonomous Sensor Systems (AASS,
http://www.oru.se/aass), which carries out multi-disciplinary research at the intersection of robotics, machine learning, artificial intelligence, computer vision and measurement technology. The work will be done in the context of the QT-PIE project, funded by The Swedish Transport Administration (Trafikverket). The project concerns assessment of driver performance using eye tracking, computer vision and information about vehicle dynamics.
Duties and responsibilities
The tasks that will be carried out during the project are to build semantic eye tracking methodologies in the context of driving in real world, understanding the traffic rules and behaviours, building the algorithms based on that and doing a software implementation, testing the software in real world driving conditions, and data analysis and presenting the data in a format that is needed by the stakeholder, Trafikverket.
Qualifications
The person we are looking for has expertise in computer vision and robotics, expertise in programming in C++/Python, and experience with working on eye t racking data and conducting experiments using eye trackers. The person should also have experience in conducting and publishing research in robotics and artificial intelligence. At least a Master's degree in computer science or another relevant area is required.
Great importance will be attached to your personal qualities; the ability to work independently and engage with other people in a way that instils confidence; and a good track-record when it comes to cooperation.

This is a fixed-term full-time position for 4 months. At Örebro University, salary depends on the successful candidate's qualifications and experience (and where appropriate, positions are subject to a trial period).
