hela Sverige MAX IV Laboratory, a part of Lund University, has operated successfully for more than 25 years and is currently building the new MAX IV synchrotron facility in Lund.
More than 900 scientists from Sweden and the rest of the world are coming to the MAX IV Laboratory every year to use the x-rays produced by our electron accelerators. They do research in areas such as materials science, structural biology, chemistry, and nanotechnology. 170 people are currently employed at the MAX IV Laboratory. The MAX IV facility, the largest and most ambitious Swedish investment in research infrastructure, will be the brightest source of x-rays worldwide and will replace the existing laboratory, which today consists of the storage rings MAX I, II and III.
We are now looking for a Beamline scientist for the I311 beamline.
Publiceringsdatum2014-08-20Dina arbetsuppgifterThe candidate will be in charge of giving user support at the spectroscopy station of beamline I311 at MAX II. The candidate will have the chance to develop collaborative research with the various user groups as well as pursue his/her own research at this beamline or elsewhere. The candidate will also plan and participate in maintenance and development of the experimental equipment and the common sections of the beamline, and participate in plans for beamlines at the MAX IV facility where necessary.
Other tasks that are included in the position is to help, guide and work together as a team with Beamline post-docs/PhD students at I311 and other beamlines (notably D1011 and I511)
