hela Sverige Program and Planning is a part of Production Control, Program and planning within the Logistic organization of GTO Europe & Brazil Manufacturing. Program and Planning is a small team of 4 persons responsible for the Volvo production program (supply plan), component program and forecast on Volvo truck variants. Good forecast on variants is an important part of our supply chain to support our supplier's ability to deliver material in a good way.
Position Description
We are now looking for a member to our team who will be responsible for the forecast on Volvo variant/variant combinations. This forecast is the base for the information sent to our suppliers about material demand.
As Forecast manager, your mission is to monitor and set forecast on new and existing variants. Your main responsibilities will be:
• Responsible to provide the systems parameters and variant distribution to create basic information for forecast
• Responsible for the variant setting and creation of forecast orders (forecasting) of the Volvo Trucks and components/products globally.
• Gather information from product managers about coming product changes
• Assist in providing improvement ideas in the forecasting area
• Answer questions, investigate and give support to other stakeholders, for example GTT, factories, project managers and Powertrain
This assignment is approximately one year and located in Göteborg, Sweden.
We are looking for someone with the following competencies:
• Interest in figures, statistics and relations within the variant flow
• Knowledge in our business systems
• Technical knowledge in truck products
• Structured and analytic skills
• Fluent in English
• Team player - able to mix and relate well with others
• Service minded, positive attitude and customer oriented
• Engineering degree or equivalent and some years logistic/engineering/product experience
