We are looking for a person that can lead and guide the development of the food science area within Electrolux Food Preservation R&D. You will be part of the Advanced development organization, and take care of lab, develop performance test methods and new features. You have a background in food science, either industry or academia, and is interested to use your knowledge to develop better refrigerators and freezers.
Key operational responsibilities
Lead and guide the food science area within the advanced development team, and be the focal point of food science in Advanced Development Food preservation. Responsible for TRM support in Freshness. Lead the Functional compartments network of R&D resources, sharing project information, test standards and TRM content. Develop lab resources in AD as well as within the Global R&D organization.
Creating and maintaining external network with academia and institutes relevant for the area. Participating in international working groups such as CECED and EU and country projects.
Competencies needed
o Master's Degree, preferably in Food Science/Food Technology. Profiles with academic background in Chemical or Mechanical Engineering or Industrial/Applied Chemistry are as well invited to apply to the position. A PhD in Food Science/Food Technology is considered as a plus
o Prefered Career experience - Preferably 5+ years of experience in R&D environment (corporate or academic research) spent in similar roles. Experience in Food Industry, especially with fresh/frozen products is considered as a plus
o Technical Skills: - Food Science knowledge and experience - Microbiological knowledge - Applied sciences and laboratory competence - Advanced prototype building knowledge - Knowledge of project management principles - Familiarity with data collecting systems - Experience with pre-programmed testing and measurement techniques i.e. Labview.
o Interest and experience of sensors and connected products is a plus
