In 2017 the total research expenditures where over 67 MSEK and the school had over 800 students. Over the next four years, the School will grow significantly. This announcement is for five full-time Assistant Professor or Associate Professor positions. Applicants are sought in the areas of Computer Science, Digital Forensics, Electronics, and Mathematics.
Appointments for each of the five positions may be made either at the Assistant Professor (in Swedish, Biträdande Lektor) or Associate Professor (tenured or untenured, in Swedish, Universitetslektor or Tidsbegränsad Universitetslektor) levels, depending on experience and qualifications. An Assistant Professor position is a 4-6 year initial contract followed by review for tenure; and Associate Professor (tenured or untenured) is from May 2018 or as soon as possible thereafter. The department greatly values equality, diversity, and being a supportive and inclusive environment. Currently, we have too few women. 1) A cover letter stating the purpose of the application; the position sought (which can be either Assistant or Associate Professor); position Ref number and area (Computer Science, Network Forensics, Electronics, or Mathematics); how your expertise matches at least one of the six aspects identified in general requirements; a brief statement of why you believe that your personal goals are well-matched with the goals of this position, the technology areas, the School of ITE; and a description of future research and teaching plans.
2) An attested CV that includes at least:
• a list of previous degrees, dates, and institution, and transcripts for higher-education studies until most recent available;
• a complete list of publications and a description of previous research and other work experience and links to online copies of the most important publications;
• a list of courses taught, including course name, course number, level (for example undergraduate, graduate), date course taught, responsibility in relation to course, approximate class size, credit hours or total contact hours, and other co-teachers or assistants (if any);
3) Sample publications (maximum of 8);
4) Sample teaching evaluations (maximum of 4);
5) Statement of research interest and research plans (maximum two pages);
6) Statement of education interest and plans (maximum two pages);
7) Copies of all degrees and certificates referenced in the CV;
8) Contact information for three references.
