For immediate appointment, Jula Boats International AB is currently recruiting a Fisheries Business and Distribution developer with placement at Jula Boats International AB office in Mariestad, Sweden.
Your main responsibility will be to assist the project leader, which includes participating in creating complete feasibility studies, and to perform and organize business development plans for the local production of coastal fishing vessels, purchase and storage of fish and seafood for export to the European, EU-market.
The feasibility studies concerns:
• Development of local production for artisanal coastal fishing vessels for the economic coastline of the Gulf of Guinea and The Volta River basin (including Lake Volta) for domestic use and foreign export.
• Distribution of artisanal fishing vessels to local fishermen and fisheries companies.
• Purchase and processing together with refrigerator and freezer storage of fish products.
• Fish and seafood export of shrimps and prawns, lobsters, cuttlefish as well as domestic fish species with products from the marine and inland (freshwater) sectors, coastal lagoons and agriculture for the European Union, EU-market.
The applicant should possess:
At least a High National Diploma in Accountant.
Good common knowledge about the Ghanaian economic systems and Government structure including applicable Directorates and Commissions.
Certified Cold Store work and handling experience.
His/her own contact network within the Ghana Food and Agriculture area.
The mother tongue must be Twi and English as the second language. A further Ghanaian language is an advantage.
Knowledge about Ghana and Sweden and Ghanaian and Swedish everyday life and customs is preferred and meritorious.
