We also provide vital product data within weight and ICD (Individual Chassis Drawings) and act as support for R&D throughout the whole product development process. Further responsibilities include the development of common methods, tools, and ways of working.

About the position
As a first-line manager for Weight & Centre of gravity Calculation and Individual Chassis Drawings, you will be leading and supporting a team of four experienced and dedicated calculation engineers and four development engineers who are responsible for providing the Scania organization with high-quality data. For ICD, our team colleagues in India work with creating geo-models and publish ICD drawings for customized ordered trucks and we cooperate, coordinate, and develop the work together with them.
The group's mission is to analyze and follow up on incoming product changes for how they affect the ICD drawings and weight calculations. From those changes, we work with the creation of new or adjusted ICD drawings, input to our weight calculation databases, and support our cross-functions with good quality information needed for certification, bodybuilding, and general development.
The parts and geo-models are created/changed in our internal modular system OAS and our CAD program, Catia, and our weight calculations are updated in our programs WCG/WCP. We also work with inquiries from the market side and operate a helpdesk that is managed every day.
Your profile
We are looking for an energetic first-line manager who can add new perspectives and has the will and ability to develop both individuals and groups in an ongoing journey of change regarding both working methods and processes.
To be able to succeed in a cross-functional network with R&D, market, and IT it is essential that you have good communication skills and a proactive approach. Our eyes will be open for someone who is a service service-minded candidate and with skills in planning and visualizing.
We also appreciate your curious mind and your thoughts on how we could improve in our area.
You should be fluent in English, both written and spoken. You hold a Bachelor's or a Master 's degree in science or have relevant work experience.
