We are looking for a candidate to First Line Manager position, with experience from leading people in global organizations for Infrastructure development.
Within Infrastructure & Operations, the function Infrastructure Management, IM, has the responsibility to provide environments to run infrastructure services at the right cost, security levels and quality. The functions main responsibilities are to design and build cost effective components and products, to provide 3rd level support for products and to improve the productivity and efficiency of platforms and products in production.
The manager for IM Desktop, Technical Specialists, is responsible for offering technical competence within the Desktop area. The technical specialists will participate in design, development, enhancements, maintenance and support for products within the Desktop area. As group manager you will have high focus on people and competence development.
Since I&O is a functional organization with HR management at the different sites, it is a requirement on every manager in the organization to be able to interact in a global environment with team members from different sites worldwide. Managers need to have the ability to create an efficient and trustful cooperation on a day to day basis in global as well as local teams on site.
As Line Manager, you are responsible for:
• Recruitment and salary setting
• Competence development
• Personnel development plans
• Finance for Man calculation
As Line Manager, you represent the site in a Global Functional Management Team and you are accountable for:
• Implementation of functional directives
• Productivity and Efficiency at the site
• Finance for Product calculation
• Purchase and Invoice approvals
As Line Manager, you can also be responsible for:
• Steering global teams
• Securing resources in global teams
• Managing functional development
• Managing operational development
• Implementing transition and transformation plans
Qualifications:
• Broad IT background
• Experience of leadership in a virtual and multicultural environment
• Experience of running business with financial responsibility
• Capacity to execute towards set targets. Special focus will be on reaching financial KPIs for the functional area.
• Courage and ability to communicate visions and objectives in a global environment
• Ability to build a strong team feeling within a distributed team
• Have an interest and capacity to develop people
• Ability to establish and maintain good relations with internal and external partners
• Leadership through Volvo IT values
• Excellent command of spoken and written English
