Volvo Group Telematics supports the Volvo Group and external customers in the Automotive Car OEM segment, such as BMW and Volvo Cars through the WirelessCar brand.
First line manager, Customer Solution Portfolio - Volvo Group
VGT is looking for a customer oriented line manager to lead and drive our solution managers, who manage the whole telematics solution portfolio in the Volvo Group (~300 MSEK).
Each solution has a team consisting of different roles from different functions. This team is coordinated by the solution manager and works with the whole life-cycle of the solution; strategy, planning/budget, project requirements and service operation follow-up. As a line manager you will be part of the Strategy and portfolio management team and report to the Director of the Strategy and portfolio management function.
In addition to line manager duties, the role will be allocated to other solution management activities related to the function. You will initially have a HR responsibility for ~10 employees located in Europe, Asia and Americas.
Main responsibilities:
Overall account manager for the Volvo Group companies
Manage the consolidated Volvo Group portfolio solution plan and budget
Overall responsible for solution KPI:s and other performance targets (incl. profitability)
Coaching and support to solution managers and spread best practices in the portfolio management area
Drive standardization through common processes, methods & tools
Personnel responsibility (recruitments, salary setting, competence development, PBP)
Member of Strategy and portfolio management team and governance forums with VGT & Volvo Group related committees
General profile:
The line manager needs to have the ability to work under demanding and changing conditions. A successful applicant must also be able to work in a matrix organization with global functional responsibilities and customer team responsibilities. It is essential to actively cooperate in a way that bridges gaps that are inevitable in every matrix organization.
This position requires:
University degree (engineering and/or economics)
Leadership competence
Previous experience as line manager or other management positions in a global environment
Account/sales manager experience
Truck customer and OEM process know-how
Solution and service management experience
Customer business knowledge - build, develop, and grow any business relationships
Fluent in English - both written and spoken
Personal profile:
Good planning skills
Ability to inspire, develop and motivate individuals and teams
An agile mind-set
Strong interest in process improvements
Have capacity to execute against set targets and a "can do" attitude
Ability to establish and maintain good relations with your internal and external partners
