We are now in search of our next first-line manager (engineering manager) for the group AI Technologies within Autonomous Transport Solutions (ATS) Research & Pre-Development, Scania R&D.
At ATS Research & Pre-Development, our vision is to "shape the forefront of ATS technologies that pave the way to industrialisation". We have a clear product focus: Both our development and industrial research are targeting current and future customer deliveries. Our teams are organized in a global and agile value flow with deliveries broken down into product increments and sprints. Part of our work is also done in close collaboration with academic partners and with other brands in the TRATON group.
Your role
As a manager, you will be leading a group of experienced software developers and industrial researchers within AI technologies. The group designs, implements, optimizes and deploys deep learning models for autonomous driving. The group's area of responsibility covers the complete workflow from data collection, via model creation and training in the cloud, to deployment in our vehicles. This being a fast-changing area, the group is also updated with state of the art and evaluates what developments should be applied to our product. You are accountable for your group's deliveries.
You are a part of our section management team, accountable for a complete software stack for autonomous driving. Our management team consists of both line management and agile management with responsibility for all deliveries in both the line organisation and across the product value flow.

Your profile
As a leader, you are a responsive and accessible team player that values collaboration. You dare to take a stand and have a good understanding of AI and data-driven methods. Together with your team, you drive the technical development forward. You grow with responsibility and have a holistic approach to challenges. You manage change in a sustainable manner.
You have leadership experience and an academic background that matches our domain; at least at M.Sc. level. It is meritorious if you have experience in machine learning, software development or research.
