What do we offer
The operation of Cooling System are divided into two close working groups (Chassis- and Engine mounted cooling system) in order to provide complete cooling systems to all engine and car projects at Volvo Car Corporation. The cooling system is a fundamental and focused area in respect to thermal management and C02 reduction. Our task involves very close cooperation with our suppliers and the different car and engine projects. We deliver complete systems to new car projects and to current running production and have the total responsibility for the complete cooling system in the car.
As Design Engineer, you will work closely with other Design Engineers, Component Owners, and Function owners. You will have a responsible for the deliveries regarding design solutions of brackets, hoses and pipes and solve packaging issues in engine bay for the Cooling system.

What you'll do?
* Design work within the area of cooling system.
* 3D-geometry in Catia V5 and create 2D drawings.
* Connecting models in TCE and supply other relevant systems.
* Solve packaging issues in engine bay
* Together with supplier, create a cost effective and robust design.
* Receive supplier models, review them and release into Volvo system.
* Present appropriate material for presentation at Project meeting, line or similar meeting.
You and your skills
* B.Sc. grade within mechanics or a similar education.
* Experience/Knowledge of automotive Design process.
* Good knowledge in Catia V5, 3D/2D.
* Understand English both spoken and written.
* Driving license.
* Knowledge of Product Development Processes and Volvo systems e.g.; KDP, Teamcenter, VPC and Lotus Notes are meritorious

It is important that you have a strong ability for teamwork as well as drive tasks independently. You also need to have confidence to act in an international environment
