The Safety Analysis section within Volvo Cars Safety Centre is responsible for evaluation of crash performance in our current and future cars. The analysis work is based on results from both physical testing and virtual simulations. The section is divided into three groups; Frontal Impact, Side Impact & Pedestrian and Rear Impact.
As a CAE Engineer Vehicle Safety you will perform virtual simulations of vehicle crash performance, analysing and evaluating occupant protection and structural performance. You will actively take part in cross-functional teams to propose and evaluate technical solutions to secure that Volvo vehicles meet our highest safety standards and maintain our industry leadership in Safety. As a CAE engineer you will be responsible for virtual simulations within one or more of our ongoing projects having regular contact with engineers from physical testing and the product development departments. You will also participate in method development assignments and system requirement setting.

Required qualifications
• M.Sc. in Engineering
• Experience of CAE analysis preferably within Automotive Safety
• Skills in Dyna
• Fluent in English (written and spoken)
• Driver's license B
• Skills in Ansa and Metapost software are meritorious
Personal qualities
• Good communication skills
• Self-motivated and analytical
• Ability to establish and develop network
