Your role
As a fire safety engineer your purpose is to support fire safety regulation fulfillment in the design process, contributing to a safe work environment for the crews that operate the submarines and surface ships. You will perform tasks in areas such as holistic fire protection, passive and active fire protection measures, fire safety requirements, design of fire preventing solutions, and selection of materials.
Your main tasks will be:
* Interpretation, application and verification of fire safety regulations and standards
* Perform fire safety analysis and calculations
* Coordinate and perform fire tests for non-standard design approval
You will work from our office in Malmö; however, for the right candidate placement in Karlskrona is a possibility. The work may involve some business travel within Sweden.

Your profile
In your role as a fire safety engineer, it is very important that you are an analytical person who can apply your skillset on complex technical systems. You understand the challenges and complexity of risk assessment. As a person, you are unpretentious and team oriented, a good communicator, thorough and passionate about learning new skills.
Who you are is of great value for us in our selection process. So straight out of school or a seasoned professional, you might be the one for us.
Required skills:
* Relevant engineering degree (eg. fire, risk/safety, etc.)
* Analytical abilities
* Excellent communication skills in Swedish and English, verbal and written
Desired skills:
* Experience from work with fire safety regulations and analysis
* Knowledge in risk assessment
* Experience from naval ships/shipbuilding, automotive, aviation, nuclear, or oil & gas industries
This position requires that you pass a security vetting based on the current regulations around/of security protection. For positions requiring security clearance, additional obligations on citizenship may apply.
