To be successful in this role, we believe you are/have:
• Expert of the Financial Industry - credit risk, compliance, schemes, acquirers, issuing banks, global payment infrastructure
• Expert on digital development and IT within the financial and payment industry
• Expert of innovation and business development techniques
• Broad knowledge of business drivers and non-financial drivers that drive value at IKEA
• Very good knowledge of regulation changes and possible impact on INGKA model
Above all those, you bring excellent leadership and, organisational skills. You have excellent and negotiation skills with capability to influence across the organisation (including on senior leadership level). You have excellent communication and presentation skills with an ability to explain complex and technical concepts in an easy way. You have the ability to lead under pressure with a proactive and optimistic attitude, anticipate challenges and solve the unforeseen in a simple and pragmatic way with a willingness to be hands on. You are also able to network and create strong relationships with a strong drive to achieve goals combining strategic with analytical skills. You demonstrate honesty and transparency towards IKEA customers, retail countries and in general towards all our partners inside and outside of IKEA.
We see that you have a degree on Business Administration and Finance or similar, with a minimum of 10 years of experience in delivering successful growth within business and/or concept development within the financial industry (banks, payment networks, fintech, etc) in close collaboration with digital function. You have minimum of 10 years of proven experience in driving change, opening new countries, creating new concepts or similar across a global and cross-functional organization, as well as influencing senior leadership as well as leading teams, creating a strong network and nurturing 3rd party relationships. Experience with fintech and neobanks within ecosystems and merchants would be an advantage!
YOUR RESPONSIBILITIES
As Financial Services Concept Development Manager you will be responsible of identifying new business opportunities for long term business growth and, create and manage a portfolio of products and services until ready for scalable deployment in order to democratize financial services for a more affordable and convenient life at home of the many.
You will:
• Be responsible for the overview of the explorations, validation and development of new financial services in order to create a portfolio of new concepts and services that will maximize customer value and growth, reaching new and existing customers and improve co-workers financial opportunities, within existing and new entry points to IKEA
• Be member of the New Retail Busines - Financial Services Management Team
• Be responsible for the business case within the new business opportunities identified in close collaboration with the Business design leader for Financial Services.
• Be responsible for presenting new business opportunities (with its business case) to different councils and approval forums in order to secure sponsorship and funding for the development of new business opportunities
• Be responsible for the creation and management of the development portfolio and pipeline for viable and feasible new (and improved) financial services, until ready for scalable deployment
• Lead and promote the Financial Services development portfolio across Ingka functions and countries by securing alignment in prioritizations, areas of exploration and experimentation, mergers and acquisition activity etc.
• Communicate and present at internal and external events and forums representing and reinforcing the Ingka positioning within Financial Services.
• Network and create strong relationships together with the Partner and Relationship Manager with 3rd parties and industry players.
• Keep track of emerging trends, technologies, regulations and industry practices to identify how these can be deployed to competitive advantage.
• Lead and develop a highly motivated and performing team of Ingka leaders and external consultants

Part of the New Retail Business unit, we are creating a new Financial Services organization, led by the New Retail Business Manager in Financial Services to deliver upon this ambition.
You will lead a team of concept and business development leaders and you will report to the New Retail Business Manager in Financial Services.
This role is located in Malmö, although there is an opportunity to consider other locations (Leiden, Bangalore) for the right candidate
