Position Description
Are you the next colleague to join our Profit and Loss team? The team consists of five people and your primary focus will be on functional development in combination with understanding business requirements. As a member of the team you will primarily be working with:
• Design and development of new functionality
• Refactoring and maintenance of existing functionality
• Maintainability of the solution in the form of automated tests
• Internal support for other functions within the company
We work with agile method and all development projects are run using SCRUM. We encourage innovation and teams which take responsibility for their solutions. Each team works closely together with the Product Owner who is the one responsible for the requirements. The Product Owner also helps the team understand how the system is used and helps the team develop the solution after market requirements. You will also get the opportunity to work together with national as well as international customers.
Position Requirements
We are looking for candidates who possess a solid academic background in software engineering and who ideally already have some practical development experience, preferably from application development. Applicants who have recently completed their academic studies will also be considered. Thoroughness and a willingness to learn are of great importance, as well as an ability to focus on quality and results. You have to be able to work on own initiatives as well as part of the team.
You need to be skilled in C/C++ or have experience with some other object oriented language. In addition, knowledge of financial mathematics or experience from working in the financial business is required. You also need to be familiar with basic software development concepts like client/server, database modeling etc. Most of all, you need to have a genuine interest in working with software development.
Previous experience of SCRUM, agile development, automated tests, test driven development and a keen interest in mentoring others is an advantage.
