Background
Chimney is a leading international Creation Agency with head office in Stockholm. We are involved in the creation of TV Commercials, TV Shows, Music Videos, Feature Films and Corporate Communication. Today we employ 260 people in six European offices: Stockholm, Malmö, Warsaw, Berlin, Copenhagen and Oslo. We are a dynamic, entrepreneurial and owner-led business.
As we are growing rapidly and internationally we have decided to expand our finance team with a new position of a Business Controller based in Stockholm HQ but operating at the group level. The function is created with the purpose of aiding the organisation with:
• focus on profitability and efficiency in projects
• high quality and consistent financial and management reporting across the group
• proactive forecasting of cash, utilisation and profitability
• designing actions to improve our Key Performance Indicators
The function is part of the finance team and the person will report to the group CFO. However, very close co-operation with the Production Management team will be an important part of the responsibilities.
Role and Responsibilities
• Secure high quality in financial reporting and consolidation within deadlines
• Support subsidiaries in accounting and reporting
• Participate in the Group's interim and annual report preparation
• Together with the team drive continuously improve routines, systems and processes within the financial reporting of the Group
• Support subsidiaries CEOs, production management and account directors with financial controlling and analysis
• Lead and develop the annual budget and forecast
During the first year, this position will be acting CFO and reporting to group CEO. This also includes personnel responsibility for the finance team.
Skill and experience
You have extensive experience of business controlling and accounting (min. 7 years). Ideally, you have an audit background from one of the leading firms together with experience from business controlling.
Managing teams towards a common goal is no big deal for you, as well as working in a high-paced environment.
You understand the importance of keeping deadlines and being flexible.
You have led teams either permanently or at project basis and enjoy running several projects at the same time. You enjoy supporting your colleagues and are good at motivating and developing them.
