ESAB is a global company and world leading when it comes to producing consumables and equipment for virtually every welding and cutting process and application.
Gothenburg Administration unit is unique within in ESAB, as this unit is the Global R&D center and has the biggest spend next to plant locations. As the Financial Controller you will be responsible for the accounting and group reporting within ESABs European organization. You will work and interact closely with ESAB management and various functions in the group. You will also interact with the Shared Service Center (SSC) function in Budapest, where part of the accounting and monthly group reporting is done.
Responsibilities
You will prepare statutory accounts of ESAB AB, which consists of 5 group reporting units, ESAB Sweden Holdings AB and one Foundation. You will also coordinate and perform the budget activities, cost center controlling, weekly cash flow, forecasting, handling of pension accounts and ensures compliance with SOX requirements for the locally operated processes.
Involved in corporate tax calculation and reporting and responsible for cost center reporting and controlling
Comply with the social security, VAT and statistical reporting requirements
Coordinate the capital expenditure (CAPEX) process
Financial support to ESAB AB Board and Managing Director as well as functional business leaders in ESAB AB / Gothenburg
Act on various ad hoc requests from various sources such as ESAB Group and Colfax central functions
Your Profile
You have the ability to work independently and build good relationships with various stakeholders. You have previous experience from working in a global environment, preferably US corporations. Experienced in Swedish accounting and finance control. You are used to working with management and supporting them with reports and Capex processes.
Bachelor's / Master's degree or international equivalent in Finance, Accounting or related field
Documented and extensive experience in Accounting and Financial Controlling
Experience from VAT and statistical reporting
Experience in cost center controlling, budgeting, cash flow, forecasting and handling of pension accounts
Ability to understand complex accounting transactions and their sensitivity from a corporate tax perspective
