hela Sverige We are looking for an experienced Financial Controller to a growing global insurance company located at the heart of Stockholm.
XL Catlin Northern Europe provides insurance solutions to Nordic-based corporate clients across several insurance fields. We are now looking for a dedicated individual to support their financial team at the Stockholm office, representatives in Northern Europe as well as other stakeholders. The Financial Controller will join the European Country Controller team.
Job description
Your essential responsibilities will include:
• Provide management, sub regional and country specific finance support
• Reference point for Nordic contribution to group financial statements and group management information
• Point of contact and support for tax
• Support Nordic external reporting and insurers association etc.
• Ensure general expenses reporting
• Ensure Travel Expenses sampling audit
• Support employees with T&E and general finance related requests
• Implement cost effective financial processes
• Manage local accounting and tax archives
• Prepare local statuary financial statements and deal with local auditors
As the role is very diverse the company is looking for someone who is able to multi-task, prioritize, organize and work effectively under pressure. To manage this role you must have a degree in business or finance. You have at least 5 years' experience from accounting and controlling, preferably in the Insurance environment. You have excellent communication skills in English, both in writing and verbally, and any additional fluency in Nordic languages would be a distinct advantage. You are experienced in Excel and Power Point and it is meritorious if you also have experience of Oracle. To manage this role you should have strong teamwork skills, be communicative, flexible and detail oriented.
