Financial Controller - Nordic & Baltic area
The position will be part of the Nordic & Baltic Accounting & Controlling team which consists of 6 controllers and accountants. The main responsibility of the controllers is to provide financial expertise and qualitative support through analysis and timely financial reporting to country & regional management and to other stakeholders.
Essential job tasks are:
• Financial and management reporting as per guidelines (Group & Region) including monthly reporting, budgets, forecasting and year-end reporting.
• Drive accurate and timely job costing in SAP to promote financial visibility.
• Enhance control procedures and cost awareness in the Damco organization.
• Provide product and country financial analysis for country & region management.
• Process improvement and stabilization of financial transaction flows in SAP.
Objectives of the position:
• Standard financial reporting, timely and accurate.
• Increase SAP visibility/data quality in terms of financial transactions.
• Provide business support to product/country managers.
• Monitoring and control of overhead cost development.
Learning opportunities:
• Acquire in depth knowledge of the forwarding business.
• Using SAP for job costing accounting, management controlling and reporting.
• Managing forecasting, budgeting, year-end reporting, consolidation and finalization of the financial figures.
Characteristics required:
• Strong analytical skills.
• Ability to work at a high level of accuracy.
• Excellent communication and cooperation skills.
• Used to work with and meeting tight deadlines.
• Good finance and accounting knowledge.
• Commercial awareness and the understanding of the value finance add to the business.
Experience:
• Finance and accounting background
• Experience from management reporting and/or financial analysis.
• Previous experience from working with SAP and Hyperion.
• Excel skills, especially working with large data quantities.
• Experience and/or understanding of job costing and its impact on financial accounting are meritorious.
Language(s) needed in position:
Fluent English written and orally.
Skills in one or several Scandinavian languages are advantageous.
The position is located at our office in Gothenburg.
