Publiceringsdatum2015-09-29Dina arbetsuppgifterThe Desicion (Financial) Support & Analysis team provides finance business partnering support to R&D business functions.
You will be working with:
• Provide month end financial information
• Provide challenge to forecasts
• Ensure forecasts are based on sound planning assumptions and resource decisions are prioritised & optimised
• Deliver financial input and analysis to support individuals and teams
• Be an expert in the execution and delivery of data and analysis to support business decisions
• Reduce lower value finance activities
• Cover all financial activity across function globally
• Provide support to key business and investment decisions
• Coordinating data collection from a variety of sources and formats
• Providing analysis in support of business options, and enabling appropriate decision making
• Provide accurate financial analysis in support of business decision making for Finance Business Partners and Finance Managers
• Delivering ad hoc financial analyses in support of R&D Finance Business Partners
• R&D Business decisions
• Strategic change programmes
• Investment propositions
• Sourcing strategies and sourcing decisions, commercial and/or procurement endeavours
• Accountable for complex, manual accounting journals
• Communicate monthly performance, and provide analytical and data collection support to business planning processes
• Producing monthly financial management information
• Explanation of variances to budget, and commentary for key finance and business customers
• Working with Finance Business Partners, Finance Managers and Business Customers to prepare accurate forecasts
• Co-ordinating ad hoc data collection activities on behalf of Finance Business Partners and Finance Managers
• Continuous Improvement, Coaching & Governance
• To support continuous improvement in Finance processes and capabilities and to ensure compliance with financial governance and control framewo
• Identifying opportunities to improve working practices
• Ensuring compliance with AZ Financial Controls Framework and SOX requirements for month end processes
• Coaching new Business and Junior Analysts in their provision of support
Utbildning/erfarenhet
We think that you are a Qualified finance professional with strong analytical skills and a delivery focus. You are proficient in the use of SAP systems and exposure to general office and other finance data warehouse and your Excel skills are strong. You have basic understanding of functional cost drivers. Experience of working in a global organisation, preferably within the pharmaceuticals industry, and of the drug development life cycle and commercial aspects of the industry is prefered as well as experience of working within a multi-disciplinary team and liaising with senior managers, experience of working in a customer facing role demonstrating potential finance business partnering capabilities and good cultural awareness and exposure to global working.
