To handle the downward dives and the hard climbs of the ride, we need to build out our finance department. One important role in this team is the Financial Accountant.
What does a day at the company look like?
The Financial Accountant has the responsibility for preparing and evaluating financial documents and ensuring that records of all financial transactions are accurate and conform to federal and international accounting standards. This includes preparing taxes, balance sheets, cash flow documents, and income statements. You will report directly to the CFO.
• Prepare and maintain financial records, including balance sheets, income statements, and cash flow statements
• Analyze financial records and provide recommendations to management on financial performance and areas for improvement
• Ensure compliance with applicable national and international accounting standards
• Prepare and file taxes, including corporate income tax, payroll tax, and VAT
• Work closely with external auditors to ensure the accuracy of financial statements and compliance with audit requirements
• Provide ad hoc reports and analysis as required by management
• Stay current with accounting and tax regulations, and ensure that the company is in compliance
• Help with US sales tax compliance
Who are you?
The ideal candidate for this position holds a relevant Bachelor's degree, has CPA or CMA certification (preferred), possesses 3-5 years of financial accounting experience, and has a strong grasp of national and international accounting standards. Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, excellent communication and interpersonal skills, familiarity with SME ERP systems, proficiency in Microsoft Excel and other accounting software, as well as good English and Swedish writing and spoken communication skills.
