The Role
As the Finance Manager at Paulig Group, you will play a key role in our finance department, responsible for the bookkeeping and financial accounting for the Scandinavian legal entities. You will be responsible for ensuring key financial processes are carried out professionally and on time according to local GAAP and IFRS standards. The position involves leading our fantastic finance team, consisting of eight direct reports, financial controllers and accountants, to success!
This role is based in Gothenburg with your team and reports to our Director Group Accounting and Reporting, Katariina Juthström, in Finland.
Responsibilities
Manage and lead the finance team and resources
Oversee financial reporting and compliance with regulatory requirements
Develop and improve financial processes, including Purchase-to-Pay, Order-to-Cash, and Record-to-Report
Support and educate the local finance team on critical financial information
Participate in risk assessment processes and promote a risk management culture
Prepare and manage interim and annual reports, transfer pricing documentation, and tax documents
Ensure bookkeeping documentation and audit trails are at an appropriate level
Collaborate with internal and external stakeholders, including auditors and tax advisors
About You
We are looking for someone who is meticulous, analytical, and solution-oriented with strong leadership skills and communication abilities.
Strong experience in bookkeeping and financial accounting
Knowledge of tax regulations in Sweden
Knowledge of bookkeeping and tax regulations in Norway and Denmark are considered an advantage
Ability to guide and support in financial matters
Good experience in leading finance teams and processes preferable from an international environment
Strong collaboration skills
Fluent in both written and spoken Swedish and English
University degree in Finance, Accounting, or a related field
