hela Sverige We are looking for an experienced Finance Manager for our Feature Films department within B-Reel Films (BRF).
Over the past 20 years BRF have organically grown our roster of creatively driven international talent with whom we have created hundreds of commercials, released more than 10 feature films, produced interactive content, hours and hours of television, and three long-form documentaries. We even made a mockumentary before the genre was invented.
We're racked up a few awards along the way too, named Production Company of the Year by Creativity Magazine, winning multiple Cannes Lions Grand Prix, 13 Guldbaggar, a Black Pencil and D, a Guiness World Record, and exactly one Emmy.
We're strongly rooted in classic storytelling and high-end production while always looking for new ways to reach audiences across evolving formats.
We have a dedicated team of 5 producers, working with development, financing and production.
BRF is exhibiting strong growth, has a strong financial position and is privately held (owned by the people working in the company).
This position is responsible for:
• Independently manage all accounting and administrative processes for B-Reel Film
• Main financial contact for the Managing Director, Executive Producers and Producers
• Liaise with legal and on top of handling financing of film productions
• Follow up projects, working budgets and WIP reports together with the Producers
• Manage cash flow in a multi-currency environment
• Making sure that the accounting process is efficient, accurate and timely as well as that group policies are adhered to.
The ideal candidate have experience from:
• Month end closing and reporting
• VAT and corporate tax filing
• Other tax and government reports
• Revenue and cost analysis
• Preparation of budgets and forecasts in co-operation with management and the Group Controller
• Establish satisfactory internal controls
• Liaise with the auditors during the annual audit and regarding tax questions.
• Fulfill legal and tax reporting requirements
• Responsible for the annual reports
• Day-to-day contact with the bank
• Assist managers with ad hoc questions
Background
• University degree with a specialization in accounting and at least 3 years' experience
• Knowledge of Swedish GAAP and the Swedish tax system.
• Experience from the film industry, advertising industry or project based businesses is a strong plus.
• Good understanding of group accounting and international accounting.
• Very good Excel skills and experience in working with ERP systems.
• You are positive, independent, proactive, thorough, structured and analytical.
• Furthermore, you have integrity as well as strong social and communication skills.
• Fluent in Swedish and English, both oral and written. Our corporate language is English.
