The arena

AstraZeneca Sweden Operations is the biggest manufacturing site within AstraZeneca, and a key contributor to Swedish export. We supply 10 billion tablets and capsules per year, 35% of the global AstraZeneca product volumes.

The role
As a finance business partner within Sweden Operations you will be responsible for delivering finance support towards a production execution team (PET) or/and support functions within Sweden Operations. You are responsible for providing business support and strategic analysis including recommendations and insight to help achieving long and short term targets. You are a member of the PET/function leadership team and you are responsible for analyzing, forecasting, reporting and challenging your area's results to support and maximize business objectives. You will provide quality financial and commercial input to individual investment decisions, challenge key forecasting assumptions and deliver financial analysis of business, performance, forecasts, key risks and sensitivities. Viewed by customers as a business expert with expertise in finance you also have an important role within the finance organization to develop how we support the business by working with continuous improvement in the finance processes.
Key Accountabilities
Business strategy and decision support; supporting key business and investment decisions
Business performance/steering; driving financial performance and business activity
Performance and business planning submissions/reporting, and to advise senior management on key drivers
Responsibility for analyzing, reporting and following up on responsibility area's results and development as well as supporting business decision making by robust financial analysis
Responsibility to proactively challenge the business on strategy
Build analytical models that support business decisions
Continuous improvement, supporting continuous improvement in finance processes
Participate in PET/function management team as a business expert with expertise in finance
Working proactively with the business to understand future financial information needs and producing efficient solutions to meet these needs including business case development and KPI management
Being actively involved in review and development of short and long-term strategy in area of accountability
Minimum experience
5-10 years experience as business controller, finance business partner or relevant
Qualified finance professional (or equivalent)
Exceptional communication and presentation skills, including oral and written.
