Global Finance Development is responsible for driving changes and standardizing SKF's finance processes globally. One of the team's key responsibilities is to manage and develop the SKF business reporting and consolidation (SAP BPC) system. In addition to managing Group Finance applications, the Finance Application, Data & Analytics team facilitates easy access to analytics and simulation of finance data.
Key responsibilities
In this role, you will collaborate with the global finance organization and business to translate their requirements into technical solutions, which you will then build and test in collaboration with internal and external stakeholders. You will work closely with the Group Controlling and Group Accounting teams and their respective reporting processes.
In your role as a Finance Application Specialist, you will be part of a highly experienced and competent team. Mid-to-long-term SKF will replace SAP BPC with a new financial reporting and consolidation system. In this high-priority and strategic project, you will play a key role. It is also planned to gradually integrate more of the finance applications into the team's responsibilities, increasing the team's size and adding new applications and solutions to the responsibility.
Furthermore, you will
• Act as the application subject matter expert, which includes being SKF Group Finance's first point of contact for application-related support and development
• Structure and organize the support and maintenance of our hosted finance applications to minimize manual intervention and automate as much as possible
• Drive various financial reporting tasks, including closing, forecasting, year-end activities, and reporting from a finance application responsibility
• Actively participate in system development, upgrades, and testing
• Ensure that the master data handling for finance applications is improved and automated as much as possible
• Take part in Global Finance Development projects and participate in common initiatives with the SKF Global Digital Solutions team
• Coordinate tasks involving technical support and system supplier contacts
• Support capability building within SKF Finance by organizing introductory sessions and training
Requirements
• It's an advantage if you have an academic degree in Finance and/or IT Technology
• Solid experience in maintaining and developing financial reporting and consolidation systems, preferably SAP BPC
• Experience in a financial system migration and/or larger upgrade projects is preferred
• Worked with end-user support and improvement request handling by various stakeholders
• Handled and structured complex master data for financial applications
• An interest in the data and analytics area; Cloud databases and BI analytic tools is an advantage but not a requirement
