In this role you will be part of Thermo Fisher Scientific's ImmunoDiagnostics Division (IDD), which develops, manufactures, and markets complete blood test systems to support the clinical diagnosis and monitoring of allergy, asthma and autoimmune diseases. With 1,600 employees worldwide, IDD is the global leader in in-vitro allergy testing and also the European leader in autoimmunity diagnostics.

You will be a member of the Global Operations Finance function, a team of 5 professionals with the mission to support the operations function by providing financial insight and analytics to drive productivity and efficiency. The team supports our three production sites located in Uppsala, Helsingborg and Freiburg, Germany.

As a Financial Analyst you are responsible for ensuring timely & accurate processing of the entire cost accounting transactions especially in the areas of month-end close, inventory tracking, variance analysis, budgeting, calculation of direct labor & overhead rates, preparation and analysis of financial statements. Provide support and financial insight to key stakeholders within the operations function in a global, complex, and high-paced organization. You will be supporting both our Uppsala, site as well as our Autoimmunity production site located in Freiburg, working closely with the Director of Production. In this role, you have the ability to develop and for the right candidate grow into a management role.

Key Duties and Responsibilities:
• Provide support and partner with key stakeholders within the operations function
• Perform the operations finance monthly close processes e.g. reconciliation of accounts, E&O calculation, inventory closing
• Drive continuous improvement and standardization within the global operations function
• Maintain and monitor the physical inventory process, including cycle counting
• Preparation and analysis of Key Performance Indicators (KPI) and productivity improvement activities
• Key player in preparation and analysis of standard price costing calculations
• Identify trends within the operations financial reporting to provide insightful analyses to the business
• Maintain and monitor capital expenditures within the operations function
• Various ad-hoc analyses
• You will be travelling about 25%, mostly to our sister site in Germany

Knowledge, Skills, Abilities
• The right candidate is self-motivated and results oriented individual with well-developed analytical skills and the ability to work with multiple projects concurrently
• Ability to communicate openly with all levels of the organization

• Experience in working within a global multi-site organization

Job Requirements
• Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance or other relevant background
• In depth knowledge of Operations cost accounting and financial analysis, 3-5 years' experience in a similar role
• Strong knowledge in Excel, SAP, Hyperion Financial Management (HFM) or similar applications is required
• Experience in working under SOX compliance considered a plus
• Language: Swedish and English required, German considered a plus
