For upcoming and current needs, we are looking for a Field specialist, field test engineer or Test engineer.
ALTEN's subsidiary XDIN is now looking for talented Field test engineer to support their customers within the railways and aerospace industry in the US. This position gives you chance to get some new exciting work experience abroad and explore the American culture.

Necessary experience:
• Ability to work with basic measurement tools such as calipers, micrometers, multi-meters and related devices
• Strong electro-mechanical knowledge
• Experience working with a prescriptive safety system, such as OSHA, TSI or equivalent
• Experience in the transit industry is highly desirable. Experience in aerospace, defense, energy or other civil industries is desirable
In this role you will performs inspection and record keeping of electro-mechanical assemblies and warehousing in a light industrial environment. You will also performs incoming inspection of kits at various railroad sites. Furthermore, assist in the installation and test of factory and field modifications. This is performed on "live" circuits and on new or existing equipment. Assist in the installation and adjustment of various signaling equipment. Performs site inspections on trains and wayside equipment. Complete warranty task electrical/mechanical/testing. Respond to incident reports, troubleshoot complex problems and create a solutions. Manages the calibration system, and finally assist Quality Management/ Engineering in non-conformance management Supports First Article Inspections.
