In this position you will be joining Thermo Fisher Scientific's Unity Lab Services Division, which provides our customers with a wide range of services, helping them to accelerate life science research, solve complex analytical challenges, improve patient diagnostics and increase laboratory productivity. You will be joining an experienced team of 40 ULS Service Engineers in the Nordics and will report directly into our Service Manager in Denmark. You will work from a home office and be based from Norway or Sweden.
THE ROLE:
As a Field Service Engineer you will be responsible for delivering all service related issues, such as installations, repairs, maintenance, validation and being in direct contact with customers.
With our customers in focus we hope that you will:
• Turn satisfied customers in to loyal ones
• Aim for the highest first time fix rates and lowest reparation mean time
• Achieve the lowest repeated call rates
• Work together with the Service team to meet group and company-wide goals
Your daily work will be focused on:
• Ensuring responsive telephone support and diagnostics as well as on-site service to exceed the customers' expectations, helping our customers to be successful by using Thermo Fisher instruments
• Actively promoting our contract products and also supporting the sales' team with leads and other valuable information
• Building and maintaining professional relationships with customers, colleagues and other key stakeholders
• Optimizing the own work schedule by coordinating with all the necessary partners for service planning and scheduling
• Reporting your work accurately and on time
WHO ARE WE LOOKING FOR?
To be successful in this role you will need to have a professional background in electronics, chemistry or engineering and a minimum of 1-2 years of experience in a similar role. It is important that you have a driver's licence and that you are willing to travel (about 50-70%), mainly within the Nordics region, but sometimes within EMEA or to the USA. Ideally you will speak a Nordic language and you must be fluent in English. The role will suit someone who has strong organisational, problem solving and communication skills and also someone who is analytical, adaptable and self-motivated .
