We are recruiting a Field Service Engineer for the Nordic region. This position is responsible for onsite field and phone support for all Biotage instrumentation, accessories and consumables including preventive maintenance and installations. The ideal candidate will live in Uppsala or Stockholm area and will travel 2-3 days per week to service customers throughout the Nordic region as well as other European countries on occasions.
The position will also include responsibility for a specialized in-house service workshop in Uppsala so a significant portion of the work will be located in Uppsala.
Job Description:
The main responsibilities of the job would be:
Installation, preventative maintenance and technical service support for all systems on Nordic, mainly on-customer-site.
Responsibility for an in-house a specialized in-house service workshop in Uppsala.
Together with the local sales representative, the hired candidate will act as the representative of the company.
As part of the European Services Team, there will in occasion be some back-up and support activities to customers in other countries and certain international travelling involved.
Reporting and documentation of the service executed according to the company standards in terms of detail and accuracy.
Candidate Profile:
We are looking for a candidate with a degree in a technical or chemistry discipline or equivalent experience that brings a strong service and customer orientation.
A sound expertise on electronic and hardware/software systems as well as background with equipment including fluid mechanics or other mechanical parts would be a plus.
Candidates with experience from field service engineering on laboratory equipment for the life science industry would be preferred, but we would consider candidates with other backgrounds as well.
The position requires a fluent level of Swedish and English and willingness to travel across its territory and in occasions abroad.
Because of this travelling requirement we expect the candidate to have a driving license, a company car will be provided by the company.
We are looking for somebody with strong communication skills, who is able to work independently (and enjoys it), who is very organized, responsible and thorough in the way he/she works.
Experience from remotely supporting other Field Service Engineers, experience from working with mass spectrometry equipment and skills in other European languages will be meriting but not a must.
