Your Challenges
Our Service & Installation department is growing and we are searching for a skilled manager to lead one of our Jointing Teams in Sweden. You will be in charge of 20-25 cable jointers who are often working on-site, installing or making repairs for our customers.
With a strong leadership, you provide proper training for, and development of, the jointers ' skills and capabilities. You are the one organizing - and perhaps also conducting - soft skills training. As the manager, you will be expected to ensure the performance of your team and implement any improvements required. Health, Safety and Environment (HSE) is one of NKT 's main priorities and you are responsible for your team adhering to given rules and/or recommendations. As well as introducing new processes and improving the existing ones, you will raise any ideas for improvement from the jointers, making sure they are evaluated.
Your Profile
You will be expected to plan, organize and prioritize the projects - often affected by delays and changes - and your flexibility and ability to work in a highly varied and quickly changeable environment is crucial in this role.
Moreover, you are a driven, persistent and result oriented person, who provides excellent team leadership. You coach and motivate your team, encouraging them to continually develop their skills, and you enjoy collaborating and sharing experiences with colleagues.
Having the right personality is extremely important to succeed in this role, however; several years of experience in leading larger teams - preferably within a service organization - is a requirement. Your technical background and profound technical interest comes from either your university degree, or many years of work experience. Naturally, experience from cable jointing will be in your favor.
You must be prepared to travel for approximately 50 days a year, though for larger projects the manager will be on-site for parts of the project. Proficiency in Swedish and English is required, as are strong written and spoken communication skills. Any Eastern or Southern European language, as well as Danish, will be to your advantage.
