About the Role
Fields Ops Controller is reporting to the European Operations Controller, the position has responsibility for accounting and controllership support to the installation and service facilities in the Nordics. The successful candidate will work closely with the Regional Controller and Operations Managers to ensure the accurate and timely delivery of management information. The goal is to provide consistent, stable & accurate financial/operational guidance to a decentralized, diverse field organization to strengthen our processes/controls & promote overall continuous improvements.
The position will be located at our office in Stockholm.
Major Responsibilities:
• Support accurate budgeting, forecasting, productivity & product costing and other financial control / analysis.
• Drive standardization of accounting practices throughout the region and finance transformation designed to be automated, working Directly with Field Ops, Operations Leaders and Finance in analyzing current state business processes and provide recommendations/consultancy on improved and efficient future processes.
• Lead Field Monitoring Program/Visits testing and monitoring DOA/policy compliance. Deliver report out to Sr Mgt on findings and best practices. Work with the groups to help remediate findings on current processes
• Simplify and streamline processes, including cost accounting, inventory control, accounts payable, payroll, billing, and preparation of operations financial and other control reports.
• Supervises the maintenance of inventory, and finished goods ledgers and cost accounting activities, analysing operating performance and financial reports
• Support business unit to ensure the integrity & accuracy of all systems, processes & data, and ensure conformity with SOX regulations are implemented and maintained.
• Oversee Operations Controllership rhythms for field businesses, including product costing, FMVA, fixed asset counting, CIP reviews, warranty analysis, etc.
• Assist in coordination of business responses to all external and internal audit testing requirements, schedules, and findings. Partner with business process owners to remediate internal control weaknesses identified through internal and external audit testing
Your profile
• Bachelor's Degree in Finance or Accounting required; CPA and/or MBA is a plus
• Previous experience with Controllership & operations Finance in a Manufacturing or Service Environment required
• Fluent in English and Swedish. If you also know Finnish, this would be a bonus.
• Proven track record of driving change / process improvement projects
• Excellent organizational skills with the ability to manage several tasks concurrently
• Strong system knowledge is required. Knowledge in Advance MS Excel is a must and experience in SAP is benificial
• Leadership abilities
This role requires excellent communication skills in english and swedish (finnish would be a bonus) with the ability to communicate effectively with employees on all levels of the organisation. Due to this being a Nordic role in a global matrix organisation, it also requires that you have the oppurtunity to travel when necessary, which will be more frequent during your introduction to the role.
