IAR Systems is the world's leading independent provider of Software for programming of processors in embedded systems. The software, IAR Embedded Workbench, known for its ease of use, quality and several world records in benchmark performance, is used by around 46,000 customers to develop products based on 8-, 16- and 32-bit processors, mainly in areas of industrial automation, medical devices, consumer electronics and the automotive industry. Job Description:
The Field Applications Engineer is a member of the IAR Systems distinguished sales department and situated in Uppsala Sweden. As a technical expert of our development tool suite, the FAE is responsible for developing professional relationships with customers and partners, performing pre-sales support, conducting technical presentations, and participating in key strategies aimed at growing our business in the embedded systems segment. The FAE is also expected to maintain a high standard of technical knowledge of the IAR Systems' products and its technology alliance partners' products and services.
Primary duties and responsibilities:
• Conduct webinars and on-site presentations of IAR Systems' tools
• Understand and assist customers in managing their embedded design programs (in relation to our tools)
• Provide post-sales technical support to major accounts
• Articulate IAR Systems' competitive advantages from a hardware and software tools perspectives
• Develop a good understanding of the sales process pertaining to the embedded market
• Possess strong communication skills, ability to build relationships, and create good reports for customers and IAR Systems' global organization
• Flexibility for travel (within EMEA).
The ideal candidate will possess the following qualifications:
• BS Electrical Engineering, Computer Engineering or Computer Science
• Ability to communicate thoroughly. Conduct a well thought out presentation is a plus
• At least five Years' experience in software engineer or applications engineering
• Knowledge of C and/or C++ languages (preferably in the Embedded Applications)
• Positive attitude with the ability to inspire confidence in customers
• Strong desire to be a key part of a winning team
• Some experience with ARM Cortex-M/R/A architectures and ARM CoreSight debugging is a big plus.
