Feature Leader Reliability
Durability & Reliability within Complete Vehicle has the responsibility to analyse, verify and predict vehicle durability, reliability and strength. This is done by analyses, measurements and experimental testing of parts, systems/modules and trucks. The activities are performed in rigs and complete vehicles on both proving grounds and public roads. We work in close co-operation with respective engineering departments as well as project management in target setting and planning of verification and validation.
The Features & Simulation group belongs to the function Durability & Reliability within Complete Vehicle, Feature Verification & Validation. The group currently employs 20 specialists in Durability and/or Reliability and is located in both Gothenburg and Lyon.
As Feature Leader Reliability your tasks will be:
Act as Reliability expertize to support project management, engineering and stake holders in various GTT projects
Early analyses of project scope regarding parts involved, sales volumes, time plan, Reliability risks, Reliability feature targets and first drafts of Verification and validations (V&V) needs
Translation of project targets for Reliability feature to measurable technical requirements and break down of complete vehicle requirements to vehicle module level
Identify test needs and establish Verification and validation (V&V) plan, Gate criteria and Product Delivery Plan for Reliability
Propose and drive actions together with project management and engineering to meet Reliability targets and requirements
Fault frequency predictions based on warranty data, project scope and V&V plan
Analyse and follow up product reliability in projects including delivering Reliability feature status reports at project gates and other milestones
Warranty analyses of current claims and support root cause analyses and countermeasures in QJs
Develop complete vehicle Reliability test methods, on both test track and in test rigs, to cover new functionality and to avoid historical quality issues. This is done mainly with AE.
Contribute to the development of the role and function of the feature leader for Reliability within GTT and AB Volvo
The following qualifications are required:
Experience from product development within the vehicle industry
Experience from truck or automotive testing
Knowledge of different truck applications
Technical education corresponding to a Master degree or higher
Very good and clear communication skills
Good knowledge in spoken and written English

The position is a great opportunity to build a large network within Complete Vehicle, Project Management and Engineering as well as various Quality functions.
The position is located in Gothenburg but the team also has a lot of international cooperation with the other Volvo sites regarding Reliability.
