What you will do
Our team and section deliver professional verification and validation of connected logistic services from the end customer perspective before delivery to the market. By connected logistic services we mean the fleet management system Volvo Connect and related services, different mobile apps like My Truck & Charging apps, apps that are shown in the truck for example navigation, driver coaching, driver times etc. This is an area with a lot of new ideas so be prepared for the yet unknown! Since we are testing new services that are not yet released to the market in the various production systems we need to do manual adaptations to our test environment to make it possible to run tests that are as close as possible to the final customer solution. If you work within Volvo AB today you might recognize some of the systems we use: Service configurator, SW configurator, BRIM, SnAC, Support tool, Protom, VDA, SEM-SEMS, TGW etc. If you are working within VGCS or within Digital & IT today, it is not a disadvantage! Otherwise you will learn as you go!
On a typical day you will be in contact with end-2-end testers at VGCS for the fleet management system (Volvo Connect) and service provisioning, as well as the end-2-end testers at BASC & DII for the in vehicle services. You will share information with our test engineers at Hällered proving ground on the best way of updating test vehicles and what to test and how to best share the result once we have tested. You will be our expert when it comes to fault tracing if something is not working as expected. Our FVV PMs are your counterparts for the overall V&V planning, budget and vehicle need discussions. And in our own team you have feature leader colleagues to share and discuss with.
You will contribute by:
o Keeping our entire test environment appropriate for early validation of the complete customer service solution.
o Prepare our systems for new test needs.
o Propose how to do tests.
o Lead x-functional team for the test environment.
o Know how to solve/who to contact to solve issues with test vehicles.
o Contribute to the function and group's continuous improvement.
Your future team
You will be part of the Competitor Vehicle Analysis, Customer Voice and Connectivity team at Complete Vehicle Sweden. We are a small team with highly skilled co-workers working cross-functionally within Volvo AB performing technical competitor analysis and validation of logistic services & fleet management systems for the Volvo Truck brand.
Who are you?
You have a genuine interest for digital services and data system architecture. You are a good communicator and a true team player, as we work cross-functionally and are dependent on good relations with our colleagues in other departments. On top of this, you will bring your passion for some of the following topics: system verification & validation methods, presenting and sharing system knowledge, continuous improvement and/or logistics system business knowledge. You are familiar with functions and services development. You are accountable for your deliveries and act as a role model.
Great if you have a truck driver license, you need at least a car driving license.
It is an advantage if you have been working a couple of years in automotive industry and have a good understanding of software development together with a Bachelor or Master of Science. You use logic and methods to solve difficult problems with effective, creative, and ingenious solutions always with the end customer in mind!
