About the job
ÅF has more than 1 400 engineers working in the international automotive industry, whereof more than 300 have at least 12 years automotive experience. We have extensive experience in executing on-site as well as outsourced assignments and is running 10 automotive customer satellites. Our customers are mainly in Sweden, Brazil, UK, and China where we also have subsidiaries and offices.
To our CAE & Safety Team, we are now looking for an experienced Feasibility Engineer in Stamping. Our team is involved in the CAE analysis of the car and its body components from early stage until start of production and as a stamping feasibility engineer, you will be responsible for running and delivery of simulations in Autoform or similar program and t o make engineering judgments that parts are feasible. You will work close together with the R&D Department to improve products according to process requirements. In the next step the feasibility result will be handed over to the Tooling Supplier to be implemented.
Who are you?
• MSc or BSc in Mechanical engineering or equivalent
• At least 5 years work experience within the competence area
• High knowledge in: Catia v5, Autoform, Sheet metal forming process, Die Design Geometry (Tolerancing)
• Fluent in Swedish and English, both spoken and written
• Driving licence
To be successful in this role, you should be able to establish and maintain effective relationships with people both internally and externally. You have strong analytical capability and use logic and methods to solve problems in an efficient manner, with the customer needs in mind. You have a desire to develop technical and personal skills with high level of motivation and a positive attitude.
