Let us describe the challenge we offer

Polestar is blazing a new trail, dedicating ourselves to the development and refinement of electric vehicle performance. Due to unprecedented growth, we are now looking for multiple Fault Tracers within the Software Integration Team. We work hard to create a unique experience for the customer, owner and driver which requires us to push the limits of technology and innovation. If you are an innovative, open-minded person who believes that electrification is the future of the automotive industry, we would like to hear from you.

What you will do

Our mission is to deliver a class leading E/E platform, with an extensive feature set, offering Pure, Progressive, Performance, to provide a Customer Experience that exceeds their expectations.

• You will support Electrical hardware and software build, test, and maintenance activities of prototype vehicles, labcars and rigs
• You will have the ability to analyze Electrical hardware and software faults and work with the SW Integration engineers to help identify solutions
• You will support verification/validation activities including in-market testing, rig testing in Sweden, UK and other overseas locations
• You must be able to travel to the UK for periods of time to support any on-going build and test work the team will be part of.

Who you are

You have a strong wish to create the future of electric vehicles - it's probably fair to call you an EV nerd. You are enthusiastic, motivated, well-organized, and driven. You're not afraid to try new approaches and unconventional methods, and you work well both individually and within diverse teams. You have a holistic view, including vision, business, and customers. You are methodical, you know how to prioritise and pay attention to detail. You are a flexible and enthusiastic person who can work under your own initiative.

To be successful in this role, we believe you have:

• Experience of using Automotive vehicle diagnostic tools
• Experience using laptop based diagnostic software, measurement, and calibration tools (CANalyzer or equivalent)
• Experience in identification and diagnosis of vehicle issues and working with cross functional teams to implement required resolutions
• Experience with vehicle network architectures CAN, LIN and Ethernet
• Experience in reading and interpreting circuit diagrams and working on vehicle harnesses
• Knowledge of software/feature fault diagnostics methods, tools and practices.

Desired experience, but not a must:

• Knowledge and working experience on EV's and Hybrid vehicle architectures
• Experience in working with prototype vehicles and rigs
• Experience of building and commissioning of test properties such as rigs and boxcars
• Experience of using specialised diagnostic and test tools (e.g. CANoe, CANape, INCA)
• Experience in aspects of vehicle repair outside of electrical systems
• Experience using Volvo diagnostic tools such as DSA
• Experience of automotive pre-production build environments: manufacturing processes, car configuration, feature coding, VCATS implementation.

At Polestar, you will be part of a cross-functional and international team, with English as a natural language for written and spoken communication.

Personal fit will be of great importance in this recruitment, as we are actively working to build a team with diverse experience, gender, and background.
