Fastener Engineer
At RESEARCH AND DEVELOPMENT you will be a key contributor to the next generation outstanding luxury cars from Volvo. Together with other engineers over the world, you and your team will create innovative human-centric car technology that makes life less complicated and more enjoyable for people. As FASTENER ENGINEER within the group Product Specification and Technical Standards you will work in a team that is responsible for all engineering standards within Volvo Cars. You will provide the product development organisation with guidelines, support and technical documentation for standard fasteners and their applications in different joints. The position will implicate a large span of cross functional contacts both within the company and externally. We are looking for someone with strong communication skills and a high level of service. You have the courage to express and represent your views in your area of competence.
Job profile:
• Be a driving force in the development of a range of parts for fastener applications in different product projects
• Be responsible for the technical documentation of the assortment
• Review and follow up technical-, cost- and quality assurance models in order to reach the goals within the application area
• Stay updated regarding new development and standards in the fastener application area
• Give advice and training within fastener engineering
Your profile:
• Technical university degree or equivalent experience
• Experienced in the field of fastener application
• Experience in Catia V5
• Organised and strong in documentation
• Ability to cooperate and take initiatives
• Good knowledge of English (spoken and written)
• Competence in Teamcenter is meritorious
