About the Role
We are looking for a Technical Coordinator to join our Failure Analysis (FA) Center team in Sweden, acting as a key bridge between our operations in China and Sweden.
In this role, you will coordinate incoming and outgoing parts, align activities with our China office, support the Workshop team in Sweden, and ensure that failure analysis cases are handled efficiently from receipt through inspection, analysis and final closure.
The role combines technical understanding, coordination, hands-on workshop support and communication across international teams. You will work closely with mechanics, engineers, internal customers and colleagues in China to build knowledge, improve processes and strengthen our failure analysis capabilities.
Key Responsibilities
• Act as the main coordination link between the FA Center operation in Sweden and the China organization, ensuring effective communication, alignment and follow-up.
• Coordinate with the China office regarding what parts are required, priorities and expected arrival dates.
• Plan and prioritize incoming parts together with the Workshop team in Sweden.
• Arrange and coordinate incoming and outgoing transportation orders and ensure that parts are handled according to agreed processes.
• Manage the case closure handover with China, including inspection results, analysis status, cases on hold for decisions and recommendations regarding scrapping or further actions.
• Guide and instruct the Mechanic team during inspections, ensuring that inspections are performed consistently and according to requirements.
• Develop work instructions and manuals for unique failure parts or failure modes when required, based on China manuals, technical input and instructions.
• Create, perform and issue failure analysis reports to relevant internal customers.
• Work closely with the Workshop team to build and develop technical know-how in power electronics, particularly related to EDU systems and other components such as ODPs.
• Contribute to the development of inspection, analysis and reporting methods within the FA Center.
• Provide on-site technical support at customers, service centers or other locations as the business grows and when required.
• Travel occasionally to China to support business development, knowledge transfer, process alignment and collaboration.
• Be an active member of the Älvängen team, contributing to the continuous improvement of general processes, technical capabilities and organizational know-how.
Your Profile
We are looking for someone who combines technical curiosity with strong coordination and communication skills. You are comfortable working across organizational and cultural boundaries and enjoy solving technical problems together with others.
You have a structured way of working and are able to manage several cases and activities simultaneously while maintaining focus on quality and delivery.
• Technical education or equivalent experience within automotive, electrical, electronics, mechatronics or a related field.
• Experience from a workshop, failure analysis, testing, diagnostics or technical service environment.
• An interest in power electronics and electrical drive systems, with a willingness to continuously develop your technical knowledge.
• Good analytical and problem-solving skills.
• The ability to understand technical documentation, instructions and failure analysis data.
• Experience in creating or working with technical reports and work instructions.
• Strong organizational and coordination skills.
• Fluent Mandarin Chinese – this is a mandatory requirement for the position.
• Strong cultural understanding and awareness of Chinese business culture and ways of working. You understand how cultural differences can influence communication, decision-making, collaboration and business relationships between China and Sweden.
• The ability to build trusting and effective working relationships with colleagues and stakeholders in China.
• Fluent English, both written and spoken.
• Willingness to travel internationally when required.
You will have the opportunity to influence how the FA Center operates, develop technical expertise within the organization and create stronger connections between Sweden and China.
Your ability to communicate in Mandarin and navigate the cultural differences between China and Sweden will be essential to the success of the role.
